It was badged Twin Cam, rather than Lotus IIRC.

I remember one of the local wide boys bought a Mexico, when I was a kid (about 12), tried to convince everyone it was a twin cam, would never pop the bonnet though!!!!

This TC is in perfect condition...
Has the air filter been modified?
Wasn't the original that strange thing, looking like an exhaust can?

It was, yes, like a twin tail pipe back box diagonally across the cam covers.
