V12 Newbie
I have aquired a complete Jaguar V12. I want to use the engine in a mid-engine project.
My question is, what manual gearbox (if any) will easily bolt upto the V12?

You can use a renault gearbox from (I think) the Renault 21, 25 and 30. You will need adaptors for the driveshafts which you can get from NF Cars (as
used in their P4 replicas). Bellhousings can be got from RV Dynamics 01376 570812
You are going to need a long car, or be a small person, to accommodate such a long engine, the bellhousing and part of the gearbox and yourself within
the wheelbase

I'm in the south east. The Jag is still MOT'd and goes real well
I'm really tempted to do something outrageous with it!
How long is a Renault box?

http://www.jag-lovers.org/xj-s/book/
get the book by kirby palm on line.
this guy basically takes part on a list like TOL and has spent years amassing data on the xjs in an on line book.
it goes into ways to tune the car as well as manual gear box options.
get it and be impressed.

Thanks guys,
I now have heaps of information to be getting on with
Damn, it's a nice looking car, seems a shame do use it as a donor.
Interesting thing is, I got an email about using a Porshe gearbox!!!
