Hayabusa Sprocket Removal
Has anyone got any idea how to remove the sprocket?
the big 48mm bolt just spins
im guessing it needs to be in gear but ive no gear stuff setup yet to change gear (and i dont know where it is yet )
solutions without removing the engine would be most appreciated
thanks

You can put it in gear with mould grips on the gear change shaft. Not a nice way of doing it, but from neutral to 1st shouldn't be a difficult
change.
On a bicycle you can use a chain to grip the sprocket and then turn the locking nut. I don't remember it being difficult to remove the nut on
my gsxr's but maybe its different.

Impact wrench is often your friend on sprocket nuts. You usually don't need to lock it.

Good impact gun and trans out of gear, unless you want to take a chance of damaging the trans.

I'm going to remove mine also in neutral gear and I've thougth to use the old chain to fix the sproket.
In case of doubt, gas!!
