Windscreen Supports

Zetec,

Please can you tell me how you went about fixing your windscreen supports to the scuttle.

Couple of 10mm cap head bolts on the bottom cross section, the mirror is another threaded fixing (imperial, but again about 10mm), and one 8mm bolt on the front leg. Used nice big washers at the back but would be better to make up a plate and fix on the inside of the scuttle with some Sikoflex.

Most of the screens weight is on the scuttle top, to supports just stop it tipping back.

I've had no probs after 3000 miles and a few 100mph blasts!

Long long story. It's a Lolocost surround that has had a cut and shut to make it 40mm narrower with a laminate screen cut by RAC glass bloke. Loads of farting about, but as far as I know no one is making an Indy screen to buy off the shelf. Best bet would be to find some one who can make up a surround, the glass is easy to get, and flog them on Ebay!
