I can't help with your problem unfortunately, but I have a Parrot in my work car and I think it's crap.
Are there any alternatives available ?

I've had a parrot for 3 years and on about my 5th, all replaced under warranty but they're rubbish. Try looking for frayed wires to the screen. Or a better product!
