Fisher Fury Spyder R1

My Fury is currently for sale as I need something more useable, probably another GTM Libra or Spyder. After spending loads of time and money on it, I've slowly realised that I've been a bit of a plank as I can't afford two cars due to my age.

Fisher Fury Spyder, Independant rear Suspension version - Yamaha R1 Engined - £8500

The car was registered from new in late 2007, built from entirely new parts. Reg: MV57 GYF (personal plate will be removed)

It has always been garaged. Has had £1000s spent and wants for nothing.

Silver powder coated lightweight chassis (last thing you want is any dreaded rust!), strengthened rear diff carrier & rear wishbone mounts (important mod), silver powder coated ali panels.
Carbon fibre pannelled tunnel, rear diffuser (not currently on the car). Drivers side pod converted to luggage space, access from under bonnet.
Lightweight bodywork in red with classic bonnet. New front lights with LED side lights.

Brand new 2003 (5PW) R1 injection engine - cost £2k with recipt to prove. Baffle plate, AIS removed, uprated clutch spring plate, panel filter, power commander. 4-1 stainless headers with 6" stainless silencer, recently repacked. Dyno'd at 158hp, has had some more mods since then.

Freelander diff - 3.2 ratio. Bailey Morris TRT propshaft. Silicon hoses for cooling system.

2.4 quick rack, Momo 280mm removable wheel with indicator & horn buttons.
GRP shell seats in black. Red TRS 4 point harnesses, 3 inch FIA drivers, 2" passenger.

Paddle shift with pushpull cable - effortless to use, especially mated with the flatshift.

13x6 Compomotive CXR alloys with 185 and 205 Yoko A048's medium compound.

Hi Spec front brakes with solid grooved discs, lightened rear discs with sierra calipers, New pads (same as elise s1), previously had mintex pads but I found them too hard for the road, has bias bar too.

AVO shocks with 225 front 180 rear springs. Upgraded from 180/130 which were way too soft for road use.
Carbon mods dash with ETB Digidash Lit - gives revs, gear, shift lights, oil, water, fuel, etc. Starter button, power socket for satnav, fan override switch, etc. Recently cornerweighted.

Recent mods by myself also include full throttle translogic upshift, with kill duration dash switch. Nicer to drive with less change of missing a gear and much faster changes. Just fitted Innovate LC-1 wideband lambda with Digital dash gauge showing the AFR, assists in adjusting the power commander. Pipercross airbox to get the noise down as the limit on trackdays are coming down more and more. This is fed from a large airduct that sits in the bulge under the bonnet (ferrari 360 brake duct). Had the exhaust manifold tufftrided, satin black finish and protects against rust/discolouring. Done about 80 miles since full service including plugs, oil filter, fully synthetic race oil, EBC heavy duty clutch plates, diff oil is new also. Engine has been fitted with Graves slide stops (quicker throttle response). Also fitted pro-bolt anodised ally oil filler plug, the standard plastic ones break easily. In addition to this I have done a bit of cosmetic work and added a set of light covers to the classic bonnet which look fantastic.

Rolling roaded at 158hp and 84lbft torque. Probably a bit more than that now with mods but at 158hp @ 460kg it gives 350/ton. Suffice to say it's bloody fast. 0-60 around 3.8 secs, tops out 130mph. A lot of Bike engined cars top out lower than this, the freelander diff gives a higher top speed. It's also a fair bit lighter than the usual sierra diffs.

It's an awesome car, handles fantastically, stops well and goes even better.

Genuine reason for sale, my current situation means that I can't really manage two cars so I need to let the Fury go. Will be gutted to see it go, and will probably be having another in the future, though I'll struggle to find another of this standard. I would add that you can buy a fury for less, but probably not one this good. I've spent a lot of time and money on this car very recently and will no doubt be making a loss somewhere to the tune of £2k because I couldn't help upgrading/changing/tidying things.

Anyway..

If interested please contact me via email or phone, reasonable offers welcome. No timewasters please. Thanks for reading,

Ryan.

Px600 pipercross airbox, did the inlet tubes myself from some silicone angled tube an welderman on here fabricated the airduct. Has a little ally tie rod with rose joints supporting it all. Works well.

It is a cracking car. Quick and reliable. Anybody looking for a bike engined Fury would be hard pressed to find a better one for sale.

Does this mean you're not coming out to play in June ?
