Propshaft Cost
Going to get my Propshaft made up next week, haven't got a price for it yet, just wondered how much I should expect to pay for it. Its a two
piece with a centre bearing hooking up a Sierra diff with the prop adapter on the bike engine. MK Indy is the car.
The reason I'm asking is I'm trailering the car to them, so they might think they can add on a few quid as I'm unlikely to drive
away with it.
Cheers

I recently got mine for £110 + vat brand new made bespoke for my car to a drawing I gave them.
I was a single prop though so I would expect yours to cost a little more.
I used Dunning and Farbank in Leeds did a very nice job

I also got my prop from Dunning & Fairbanks, very good service indeed,
Mine was a single piece prop from a Ford Type 9 box to a Sierra diff, so fairly standard fitment,
Cost was £137 all in which included Vat & delivery.

Just ordered my single piece type 9 to English Diff, £153 all in. Hope to get it end of next week. They've got excellent feedback so hopefully
no issues.
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

Ouch, just got back from getting my car measured up for the prop. It's nothing special, just a two piece prop with a centre bearing.
£430
Are they having a laugh or what?
Cheers

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

TRT props are more expensive, but you need one in a BEC IMO.
Mine was a two peice TRT with centre bearing and was £250-75ish with the postage.
In my opinion you shouldn't scrimp on a tube that transfers all that Torque/BHP and will be spinning at silly RPM within a few inches of your
leg/nuts.

I got my 2 piece TRT made by AUTOPROP.... all new parts with UJ's that can be greased.... a lot are sealed, and narrow style centre bearing.
The guys name is Mike very friendly and helpful.... not the most speedy service but 1week is not bad at all if your mid build with a car.
I think it was around £170 + Postage = £180 all inc
