Wilwood Bleed Nipples (again)
Some of you will have seen my previous post about breaking the Wilwood nipples.
After that Debarcle got everything sorted, I replaced the broken nipple with a standard Stainless Steel nipple which works fine.
Noticed this morning that all the Wilwood brass/steel nipples are weeping no matter how I tighten them, the replacement is not.
Question is how many of you guys have replaced your Wilwood brass inserts due to poor sealing and would it be ok to replace with stainless
one's
Will stainless react with the aluminium caliper body?
Thanks

Glad I'm not the only one to have broken those stupidly small aliminium bleed nipples - did the manufacturer ever try and use them themselves?
Annoys me to have something so simple be so rubbish. Did you replace the whole lot or just the aluminium part?
Cheers,
Henry.

I replaced the broken one with a single piece stainless one which seems to work much better, think I will swap them all.
For those of you who didn't see it here is the broken nipple

when i first built the car and fitted them new from rally design they leaked straight away after bleeding them.
they sent me free replacements which were fine, but recently i had to disconect the flexi so had to re bleed one and it leaked
some ptfe tape seems to have cured it, i was really careful not to over tighten it.

What thread is the Wilwood brass bit, and what stainless part do you use as replacement? Just so I know if and when mine go!
