New V5C?
Just got my v5 back with the change of engine number (thought i should get it done as the new engine been in for well over a year) and the new one i
got back is PINK.
Anybody else got a pink one? Or am i just special

Edit to add - seiously, the V5 I got when registering my car a month ago is red/pink

Yeah, they are changing them over to Red ones. I forget the reason. Its starting off with change of ownership and new cars but i think they will all
need to be changed at some point.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I believe that a huge batch of blank blue ones got nicked a while back, and started to appear on dodgy cars.
This is probably a response to that...

Last few I had were red but if you have pink maybe it's time to come out

yea mine came back pink after my engine change...maybe because it's a bike engine!

It's an anti fraud measure, pink will not scan/copy

Plus if you notice the v5c has changed you can no longer notify dvla that you have scrapped the vehicle
it has to go to a ATF
