Options for "comfy" seats for an Indy R
I've just bought an MK Indy R which at the moment has GRP seats. As I'm going to be driving to the South of France in August/September
(yes I do realise I've lost the plot) and I'm in the process of making the car as suitable for touring as possible. This includes
replacing the seats. The width of the space the seat has to fit into (approx 425mm) seems about 15mm small for the Cobra 7 seats. Has anyone managed
to fit these or can you recommend any others?
Cheers in advance,
Elvis.

Cobra 7s fit my Indy so IŽd have thought they would fit an R.
I donŽt think they would be any more comfy than decent fibreglass seats though.

Hi,
I have JK Composite seats in my car and they only have limited padding on them, so far I did 12 countries in 2009 and went to Spain in 2010 and I have
had no problems with the seats, they are really comfortable and if I am honest I feel better sitting in them than in my tintops seat.
Regards
Bob

Cheers Ian.
I did see these for sale but unfortunately the yellow piping rules them out

Have a look at the intarim range, better quality than the cobra ones and lighter too.

Just come back from 3000 miles in ten days to Monaco via the alps with just GRP seats. They've only got camping mat pads on them and I can
honestly say I never even thought about them. More comfy than padded seats and a combination of then and a camping air bed always cure my bad back.
Only concesion I make is to put a towel on them when it's hot or they do get a bit sweaty.

Thanks for the offer but I've agreed a swap already but if anything changes I'll let you know.
Cheers,
