WTD: Speed Sensor
The guy who built my car wondered why the speedo had stopped working... could it have possibly had anything to do with the fact that he over-tightened
the nut, snapped the housing and then filled it with glue in an attempt to get it all back together!?
So... I'm looking for a new one and would rather not have to fork out £50! Anyone got one going spare or know where to pick them up at a good
price?
Cheers!

I don't see why not... the old one had a 2-cable output as well (it's for a VDO instrument).
U2U me with details of how you'd like paid and I'll get it sorted out.
Thanks very much.

Hi scootz
Dont know if you sorted yet with this but the same thing happened with my 2 wire sensor, im running telemetrix clocks so think they are the same
system as mine.
Its a magnetic proximity switch (red type), the part number should be "assemtech 470/30" if you google their site and give them a call
they are very nice, the part is that cheap you need to buy them in minimum order of 25. they posted me a sample unit at no cost whatsoever fantastic,
give them a go.
Hope this helps

Cheers Mick.
I've had a look at the VDO manual and it says it will work with any inductive sensor, so I'll give Kev's one a go!
