A&L fishing mail?
received this, weird that they cannot address me by my name but use generic title; aslo some strange wording and grammatical mistakes.
Also goodling A&L takes me to Santander so fake address too.
I suspect is it fake so if youhave received this, then do not open attachment and do not repsond; of if you do feel you need to, enter incrooect
accoount information to see if it detects that.

I have received a few recently from HSBC, Halifax and Barclays I think. Someone must be opening them and filling in details though. Blee*in scumbags.
I take it that they get into accounts and empty them?

100% fake, get loads of these every day, but i'm a bit confused by this bit

yeh ive had a few from hsbx and lloyds, even though im with neither of them, both addressing me as customer. Just ignore the. If its genuine they
would adress you by name and not a generic title.

I get 3-4 of these a day in to my spam folder from various banks (some that I back with, some i dont!). Some squeeze through the spam filter.
But the easiest thing to avoid phsing is use 2 rules.
1. If the email has clickable links and is asking you to sign in or confirm your details, its likely to be phising, simply check the URL/address is
that its linking too is that of your banks. If in doubt, google your banks name, and log in through their website, and dont use the link. If there the
email is genuine, then the message will appear on your online account too.
2. Never open any file atachments within the email, these will either contain links that will take you to a fake/phishing page or a virus. No bank
will ever send you anything via an attachment.
