Well since a large majority of the breaking is done at the front the back brakes seem a little big to me...

That 1490mm is the distance between the disc and not the diameter LOL. Or I hope it is otherwise he's rolling around on a set of 72" rims

Bah, shouldn't have had that bottle of red 20mins ago Just ignore me...

On the disk to disk distance, I think Procomp may have a view on which kit it might be.

I hate it when I repeat myself, but...

... Hey?

Is that 'cos it'll be one of his? Surely you are aware that a variety of kits out there and some of them have a differing set of track widths and front to rear correlation of track widths?

Surely what is more relevant is the track (width) with wheels fitted?

Would it make a difference if the front was wider than te rear by 2" probably not a lot, though for non technical reasons I'd prefer it the other way round.

Not sure I understand the question. Are we talking about the width of the car measured between the back of the disks?

If so that is only relevant if the disk center height is the same front and back. If not you need to measure the track between the outer face where the wheel bolts up to.

Steve, why would narrower rear track be preferable?

I did say just ignore me I was think it was the front to rear being different on either side 'issue' of a couple of the kits on the market.

At the moment there will be the same difference front to back and when the wheels are fitted but this could be change with wheel spacers, I wounded if this would make a difference to the handling or there may be some other problem this would cause?
