1999 VW bora tdi 58mpg

Changing my drive to work car so this is up for grabs.

1998/9 vw bora tdi se 110bhp
Good service history
Long term average of 58mpg
Runs great, 145k on the clock
Just about everything works except the drivers electric window that needs a new motor.

Needs 2 new front tyres very soon and its due an oil service. 5months mot. £300 spent at last mot on suspension bits.

£1000

Actually interested in this even you it is very similar to what I already have!

I have a 90bhp V-reg car, 160k miles and the long term average is probably on 52-53mpg. Is yours a 6-speed?

Cheers

Andy

Nope, 5 speed. The 110bhp engines are just a bit better on fuel. I guess as they make a good 15% more power you just work them that little bit less too.

Doesn't make any sense

(just to throw it into the mix - my 90hp 1998 Passat is on 65mpg long term average but mostly motorway)

I'd have taken this if I hadn't started fixing up the 'ssat already.

Well priced too.

Would be interested in some pics if you have any. Has it got a towbar?

I'll get some later, no towbar i'm afraid as I never got round to it. Same fitting as the golf though so ebay should net you a cheap one.

Pics for those that have asked, sorry for the delay, life is a little hectic at the minute!

Cambelt was done at 104K so no worries there either. Not the most exciting car on the planet but its quiet, good on derv and still feels solid.

MOT till 08/06/2012

Bargain.
