what to do with CRT monitors?

My garage has been filled with ex-office CRT monitors. I could take them to the tip but it seems a waste as they all work. Any suggestions?

what about places like CEX or the second hand pc shops around?

you may only get £5 per monitor but better than a kick in the teeth

Thanks

They'd be lucky to sell them for that much, i doubt theyd even take them off you for free!
Just check out ebay to see how many dont sell or do sell for pennies.

ohh ok....

:O(

but crt is much better than lcd monitors. you cant heat a house with a 19" lced but a 19" crt will heat a 3 bed house when on full.....

Thanks

having just tried to dispose of 10+ CRT screens at work and being asked for £8 each to take them away we divvied them up and took them to a variety of local household recycling centres for free. A word of caution though....if you turn up with a load of them the staff are likely to question you and possibly turn you away (as happened to one of us).
