Probably 5 grands worth of engine install in there. Probably worth more around 8 k in my opinion.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Probably cost 15K to build - but that is not necessary how much it is 'worth'.

I know the guy who owns it and I grew up with his son.
Seen this car compete at Fintry hill climb which was damn quick. I did here he was thinking about selling the car due to having a motoring accident
and kinda losing his bottle of pushing the car to it's limits. He is also a well established mechanic in the area where I live.

To be fair... it is being sold by the factory and Dax is one of the more prestigious seven marques.

There'll be a queue of people to buy it then? Didn't realize it was factory built. Always thought they were ugly myself.

Probably not, but judging by the average used Dax prices, then it's asking price is achievable.

The 15k is just in their head.
The dax isn't even registered but can be at cost!
IMO/experience to get that sort of money for a none Caterham you've got to offer something from the norm where you can see money has been spent.

What happened to all the locost locosts? Got to agree, that dax isn't very appealing to me, not is the blue and silver one. Nothing there to
make me go oooh ahhh

Had a dax rush turbo spent 9 k on the engine was a camber comp chassis and only went for 18 k so where that price is for a STD chassis and non
registered I don't know???,
Also only sold my mnr with a zx 14 in high spec car for 10 k so 15k for a locostbuilders I think is dreaming a bit, also Market not good at the mo so
will be more like 8 k for tha locostbuilders and that's being kind,
Only m opionion of course but I wouldn't pay that for either car,

15k for a factory built brand new Dax doesn't seem excessive. I'm sure they'll IVA/register it for not much more than it costs to
do..
Looks are a bit hit and miss, but haven't heard a single bad word about the quality of their products to be fair..
The PH locost is on a different planet..

PH Locost is, as is often the case, priced with unrealistic expectations with more than a little greed. Like houses, it isn't 'for
sale' at that price.
Next move will see it as an Ebay "Bargin!!!!", starting price of £5K, a 'buy it now' at £20K with a 'Reserve not
met' at £15K. There will then be a frantic display of bidding to £14.9K, whereupon the auction will end and the car relisted - for the next
year.
Eventually, it'll be traded in for used Porsche at a 'premier' dealer, for the process to start again.
Sad isn't it.

I think there is some fantasy about how much people spend on these cars. It is easy to get up to those numbers, if you aren't careful about
suppliers.

To be fair, it is a well specced and looks like well put together car. If the right buyer came along he might get half that
