R1 engine running too cool

My R1 engine never gets up to its proper bike running temp.

On an R1 bike running temp is usually around 84-95deg. The one in my indy very rarely gets over 70 when moving.

It looks to have the bike thermostat in place though so I'm rather puzzled by this!

How have other people routed their coolant pipes?

Thermostat controls engine temperature, is the gauge sensor on the engine side of the thermostat ?

The rad is fairly large and I'm not sure what its from but with a correctly functioning thermostat I wouldn't be expecting over cooling.

The temp sensor is on the rad side of the thermostat but only just after the thermostats outlet so it should give a reasonable idea of temp once the thermostat has opened.

I think the stat has gone to its fail safe open setting, I'll whip it off and put it in some water to see if it activates.

Stat jammed open or incorrect gauge, or air lock around gauge sensor
