I have a top tip to avoid speeding tickets - and it's free

Don't speed.

I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

i personally think its quite easy to fall foul of a speed trap. In all honesty who can say they never speed... those that claim they do probably watch the speedo more than the road, might as well get your phone out, its relatively the same sort of concentration.

Personally i dont think theres nothing wrong with 35/30 and 45/45 ect... obviously if its not busy and your not in built up area's...

Reminds me when i was pulled on the A1M south passing M18 junct, i becoming foul by doing 79.8mph. I was overtaking 3 hgv's on a dual carridgeway @4a.m. I took the 3 points and was happy to take them, as id done wrong. The think that pissed me off was the way the traffic cop quoted "for the conditions of the road stopping distances at such speeds" .... To which i asked when was such stopping distances introduced and i bet i could probably half them.

rant over

That's probably why you actually got done and not warned, you failed the attitude test.

I set my speed warning on the car to 70. Soon as I hit 71 the warning goes off. Can set to any speed, means I dont go thrashing around anymore and get great MPG.

Always end up at my destination much more relaxed too.

God I must be getting old.........
