Type 9 Gearbox extension.

Hi. A quick question. Ive just received my gear stick extension from Ben. (cheers mate). Ive just knocked out the plate on the back of the box so i can fit it. Question is what do i do with the big hole it has left by removing the plate. Cheers Steve.

I've left mine open. Not really a lot you can do with it.

Depends on what sort of gearshift extension you've got. With mine, I just drilled a hole to let the shaft through.

It's not a big problem, as it's effectively an open space anyway - no oil or grease to contain. Any dirt or grit that gets in may cause wear, but if you take the gearshift off once a year and clean & lubricate it then there's unlikely to be any trouble.
