Which software for saving audio from youtube, iplayer, or embedded videos

I would like to save some audio off the likes of iplayer youtube or sometimes from a video embedded on a web page to listen to in the future.

I used to have several programs for this but the iplayer ones no longer work and im completely out of touch with comuters these days. Google seems to send me round in circles. I would be interested to know what software other people use to:

save an embedded video from a website to your pc
save a youtube video to your pc
save iplayer audio to your pc

and then convert any of the above into mp3

There seems to be lots out there but don't know which ones are the most reliable/ safest to use

Many thanks

I'm lazy and I've got goldwave so I just use the control panel off that. Mind you any "windows" bing and bongs from accidental keystrokes will also get recorded....

I have in the past used 'total recorder' which would appear to work in a simular way.

Things like a 10minute sound to tell you have new mail, is a good thing to turn off before making recording however, not that ive been there or done that.

www.youtube-mp3.org/
works a treat, saves audio perfectly, strips off any adverts, only limitation is duration (30 minutes I think) stops you downloading whole albums
