Pinto on cvk 38's carb and exhaust popping

Hi all

I'm having issues with the pinto. Its has a megajolt that has been set up on a rolling road and has made a massive difference to the responsiveness of the car but I still have a problem with the exhaust popping while engin is at idle ( and when coasting in gear / engin breaking ) I have removed the exhaust as resealed all joints with sealing compound.
And adjusted the fule air mixture on the idel adjustment up doesn't seem to get rid of the problem

Mine pops on overrun, but I don't think it is really an issue [mine does on 38mm Mikunis]. Does the popping at idle cause it to tickover badly?

Weak Mixture

Mine pops slightly on the over run , I always understand that to mean slightly lean mixture , sounds quite good to me!

Make sure there is no air leeks in the exhaust joints

Yes I'll be checking for leaks on the exhaust joints. I'd be able to stand it if it was a slight popping but when engin breaking it is quite bad .
