For Sale - 2014Cc Pinto, Good Spec And Twin 45 Webbers.

Hi,

I will be replacing my Pinto in my Westfield with something else over the winter its up for grabs.

205 Block,
Ported cylinder head and matched Hi-Flow inlet manifold,
BP300 Camshaft,
Adjustable Cam pulley,
Double valve springs,
Race engine components oversized vales,
Bronze valve guides,
Webber Twin 45's carbs,
Burton Rocker cover,
Aluminium sump.

Since I have had the car in April I have done the following to get it running well.
AccuSpark Electronic ignition conversion in a Bosch distributor,
New plugs,
New leads, One broke on removal
Cam clearances adjusted to correct cam specs, Were a little on the tight side
New rocker cover gasket, replaced when the clearances were adjusted.
New inlet manifold gasket. Was leaking in air.
Valve stem Oil seals have just been changed.

History -
The car is an 2000 'X' plate with this being the original engine since build. Currently on 17K miles but was removed, bored, honed and fully rebuilt in 30/08/2008 with receipt for £972.18
Rebuild consisted of +0.5mm mains and big end bearings with the crank ground to match, ford +0.5mm Pistons, faced block and head ....etc

Have a rolling road print out showing 127.6 BHP @ 6000RPM recorded at the wheels which was done 30/08/2001. 150+BHP at the crank on the same spec as above but with standard pistons before the latest rebuild.

Still fitted in the car at the moment so can be heard running and I can take a genuine interested party out for a drive (weather permitting) and if it’s before the end of September as the tax runs out then.

£350 for the Carbs including fuel lines pump and pressure regulator.
£750 for the Pinto including flywheel, starter, dizzy, leads, alternator, maybe engine loom.

Exhaust manifold I may keep as it can be modified for a Duratec if I go down that route, but not 100% so could possibly go with the engine.

Thanks
Mike

Excuse the grubby paw prints on the exhaust, I had just finished doing the stem seals.

Also open to Sensible offers.

Cheers Mike

£750 for a pinto is steep given that a zetec can be considered. Appreciate the money spent, but that's just the reality IMHO.

I know it costs a lot to build a decent pinto but you can get a new zetec for 750 quid which I think limits the price.

Before I saw the price I would have guessed 300 - 400.
