Nodiz - first day test

Well first day with the NODIZ ignition - chucked out the old valencia dizzy - hooorahh...

Had a good shufftie round the internet - found a decent map for a 1700 BCF2 ..
Laptop - via blutooth - programed it up....

Argggh - ignition system dead !!! Was working earlyer..
After pulling all my wiring out and arsing about - finaly gave Nodiz a ring..

Pilot error -
I had changed a value on my trigger wheel 'base setting'
Good quick support fix cheers Matt..

Right .. off onto the road for a first test..

OMG what a difference - took off like a scalded cat !!
Only needed half throttle !!
Did try full throttle but the scenery started moving far too fast..
Without my 'full attention' and not used to the extra ooomph I deemed it best to not fool around..
Cold road - extra power - I came to slow down to give way and found myself sliding a few yards..

Calling it a day now -
looking forward to getting some serious mapping done & a free rolling road setup!!

NODIZ deal...

Hi Bob - Heres the deal ... I was looking for a Megajolt .. Click here to read it

I phoned NODIZ and asked if they were for sale yet?
No - only prototypes have been tested.
Final circuit boards have been approved - ordered & 'for sale' units on the market by end of the month..

'However' - being 'locost' - Errr.. can I buy a prototype ? pleaseee... seeing as it will end up in the bin :p
The answer was... 'No.... Hmmmm but let me think about it'..
Another call later..
Heres the deal .. I Buy and test the prototype - coool
Trigger wheel £25
Crank sensor £24
Prototype & loom £ Click here for prices/Link NODIZ Launch

All I gotta do is give feedback as a first time user - good/bad/improvements ..
The bonus is - end of the month I send back the prototype and swap out for 'new' unit..
To boot - if i can get the 200 mile trip to NODIZ I can get my mapping done for free..
Now a free mapping session - out weighs the cost of the unit so to speak.. :d

So.. no .. nothing to do with NODIZ ..
Glad I did'nt buy Megajolt - thanx to - mikeb locostbuilder - for pointing me in the right direction ..

This mapping biz is so refreshing and fun - The wife is begining to hate it - :p
Cheers

John,

Thanks for the positive comments...

Just finishing up some mods on the other little 'feature' I told you about and I will email over a link for you to try it

Bob,
No, John and I have never spoken before until about a week ago, we were looking for people with 'their heads screwed on' so to speak for 1 month of Beta testing, and he ticked all the boxes, John thanks again for the feedback, looking to implement some of your ideas over the coming weeks pre-launch.

Matt @ M-Tech (and now NODIZ.co.uk as well!)

Cheers,
Matt

Right, just seemed a bit too good to be true in saying that it does look a good bit of kit. I built a Megajolt (one of the last kits)and its been sitting in the office for a couple of years till I could find a good Zetec to fit in place of the worn out Pinto. Wish I'd held off now, but sods law I suppose.
Cheers,
Bob

Sorry Bob ... I'm just so excited about being able to 'tune' my engine at last..
I've spent 12 months cursing and swearing and prepping for IVA ..so bored...

It's so refreshing to have some 'new' kit to play with..
This is the only place I have to tell or chat about it!!

Bye the way..
IVA is great stuff - Best thing since sliced bread!

As a result all my wiring - brakes - lighting - construction is all safe !!
When i installed my NODIZ -
I did it like it would be looked over by IVA - even though i'd passed..

This just goes to show how good - safe - practice can live on!!

However... DVLA are a bunch of ****** ... tax grabbing red tape **** etc..
Have had to wait nearly 3 weeks to 'get it inspected' .. grrr....

Hi,

As long as you are willing to fit a trigger wheel, then yes
