Need help drilling a hole !!
Right ill get straight to it ..
I have 2 zetec verniers im going to use on a ford ST170 engine one fits the exhaust cam fine it has a 10mm center ...
The other one needs to be opened up to allow a M12 bolt to pass through it to allow me to fit a VCT delete kit ...
It says you can use a drill press/vice and a hand drill .. i don't think that's a good idea or going to be very accurate and surely being
the part that it is this is essential ?
Im open to your views on this ?
If anyone has a lathe ect and could help me out that would be great

A Drill press would be fine, as the hole is already centred.
But, If I were doing it I'd use the lathe, as I have one, 12mm drill then ream, if you don't get any offers more local I can help out by
post...
Just one thought, what advantage do the verniers give, the none ST Zetec cam pullies are infinately adjustable, are ST's pinned or keyed?

Just out of curiosity, why are you removing the VCT?
Personally, providing the hole isn't centering the pulley I'd just drill it. If it's centering it I'd lathe it, too easy to
knock it off-centre and it's pretty critical.

I don't know these engines but most cam sprockets locate on a boss on the end of cam and the centre bolt only job is to hold the sprocket
on, if this is the case just drilling out in the bench drill should be more than good enough.

This kit is made in hte states for the focus svt engine (same engine) ..
