Another whats it worth threads.....
I am slowly coming to the conclusion that my time with my Fury has run its course......... I've had it twelve years now , and had far too much
fun with it - but last August it eat its gearbox in Italy , then snapped the cambelt once home - I have since sold the engine , and pinched a load of
bits off it to complete my V6 Mx5 .
Now , after four months off work with my chewed-up hand , I really dont think I will have the spare money to get it back on the road this year - or
the space to have it sat around for the next year or so .
So - a `project' Fury , no engine or gearbox , tatty bodywork , needs wiring () , SVA'd in 2000 , full weather gear ..........
Whats it worth ?

morning Claire its a shame you have to sell up, but it would be a very easy build for some one ,all the best in the sale as for what its worth,
I'm not sure but it would be an ideal way for some one to get in to the kit car scene all the best

What would it be worth running? What are the cost of the parts needed to put it back on the road?
Take the first from the second and knock a bit off and you have your asking price. The market place will do the rest.
God luck with the sale!

If you have the space and dont need the cash I would sit on it. Cash wise I will put my neck out and say £1500~£2000

I dont have the space , and I need the cash (and thats the sort of number I was thinking......)
I could put another engine in , get it up and running again - but to be honest I just dont have the heart for it now I have my Mx5 - which goes like
the Fury , but is practical enough to use every day (and needs a few things doing t it to make it presentable )

Might be worth posting a few pics of it , I am sure that will tempt someone to make you an offer on it.

I would say you'd be looking at around £1k on a good day. Not many folks see too keen on taking on someone elses projects. It depends on how
badl you want to sell the car and the time scale. You could get lucky and find the right person at the right time but if you're unlucky enough
to poke a spinning fan......

I would be willing to pay around £500 as I'm miserable, value would be between £1000 - £1500, Craig has sat on his Sylvia for months at a
reasonable price all up and running

We all know the log book and chassis is worth £600~£800.
If your ownership has run its coarse and you dont have the heart or means to make it a drive away sale pick a price and advertise it or auction it.

sounds like a bargin buy it now ebay easy fix awsum breaks lots spent no timewaisters or dreemers will take it off if no serius bidders
Seriously, I'd have thought £500-800 too. Plenty of 'projects' out there at the moment. I'm really tempted by some of the old
Series Land Rover restorations that have been abandoned, after some serious financial input. Some are very affordable.

yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I think you need to a few pictures up Claire as the car stands now, and it could tempt a few people, but its got to be worth around £2000 I would have
thought, for IVA'ed chassis and body

Pictures are a bit of a problem - I havnt figured out my new phone yet
But - heres a picture from the top of Grossglockner in the mist , a few days before the gearbox broke on another mountain pass (Passo
Rombo.........blowing the doors off an Audi RS something....)
It looks pretty much the same now , just with a big empty space under the bonnet.................

Nope...............and to be honest , I dont know for sure I want to sell it for what I'm being offered - I do have a spare V6 and gearbox in
the garage , so putting it back together wont break the bank .
But it will take time I just dont have to spare - the Mx5 sideline is really taking off , so lots of bits to make over the summer as well as cars to
convert to V6 power................

Blimey! Putting a car through IVA and registering it costs about £650, add in the cost of a Kit and £1500 is a steal + it's got pedigree.
Wish I had the space.
