Boot lid

Well lads, quick question: a sheet aluminium boot lid cover (with a flat boot floor already fitted) on a hill climb/racer seven, is the aerodynamic gain worth the bit of extra weight?

Nothing! Just an open boot. I built the car without I one as I got lazy near the end and also hated adding weight. Have a cover made here now and hate adding weight so much I just need a bit of a nudge in the right direction before welding on little brackets! (Can't post pics til this evening)

Ooo Yes, im sure the aerodynamic gain over an open boot is going to be worthwhile, worth the small amount of aluminium weight.

Cheers Eddie, here's the bootlid panels awaiting a bit of welding and a few bolts!
