zetec
does anybody know if the 1.6 zetec is the same physical size as the 2.0?i've got another chassis and a 1.6 engine laying about but if i mock it
up with the 1.6 will the 2.0 fit when i come across one if i decide to go down that route! thanks in advance.

As far as I am aware they are the same size.

I had a look at the engine comparison section at :

goto Technical -> Engine & Carbs -> Car Engine Comparison
This suggests that the two are quite different engines - the 1.6 has an alloy block and is much lighter - does anybody know if this is true
?

The zetec se is indeed a completely different engine to the normal zetec. I think the exhaust is on the other side too.

The Zetec that Titch is refering to is the one found in Escorts and Mondeos and the 1600 is more or less the same physical size as the 1800 and 2
litre.
