Track rod ends that bend
I need clearance, Clarence. I'm after some TREs that have a downward bend in them such as these:
Only things I can find so far are stateside, anyone know of any common cars in the UK that have a similar TRE?

Can't think of any that bend down. There's a few that bend side ways.

I'll have to double check clearance tomorrow, but sideways ones might possibly work too

Just to add, they'd have to bend like this:
(if that makes any sense!)

Stupid question. Can you not put one end in water (the bit with the ball etc) then heat the other part with Oxyacetylene and make it any shape you
want. With a bit of skill you might be able to make two of them (mirror image I assume).

Because they have to carry a bending moment bent track rod ends have to be a much beefier section than straight ones.

I've got these that you can have to trial fit or mess about with if it would help - they're knackered but would be ok for checking fitment
without going to the expense of buying any.
They're off a SEAT Alhambra. I could pop them in the post for you.

Thanks a lot for the offer, but they don't bend the way I need them to (see my badly drawn diagram)
The C2/C3 might be promising. I'm off to the scrapyard tomorrow to see if they have any in
