LocostBuilders maintenance
Just to let you all know (and sorry about the short notice) that I will be doing some maintenance on LocostBuilders this evening which requires the
site to be taken offline. Will be starting this work about 9pm, and I expect it to take an hour.
Cheers, Chris

Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

Right, we're up and running again. Just a few tweaks to sort out now to make sure everything still works.
15 minutes early too!

Forgot to say - we'll be running on forum.locostbuilders.co.uk while the DNS changes propagate around the world. I'll swap it back in a
couple of days to be on the safe side. Wouldn't want anyone to be without the site would we?

No probs. You should find the site is faster than ever now as we have a machine (almost) dedicated to the task again.
Oh, and it's getting a hardware upgrade on Monday night too! I have a 2U P4 3.0GHz machine sat here doing nothing so I'm going to swap
the hard drives into that chassis when I'm next down in the data centre.
FYI The current box is an Athlon XP2200, a bit slower than the 2.8 P4 we were running on, but this box is only running LocostBuilders and my Asterisk
(VoIP) development stuff so it should be quicker.

Firefox wouldn't connect last night
It was trying but wouldn't connect. Explorer worked though.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I was fiddling around with the site last night so if you were unlucky and caught it while the server was restarting you might have had problems.
All running nicely now tho
