a Question for the electricians
I think I have to earth bond my gas meter to the supply earth at the distribution box. What size cable do I need ? 2.5mm, 6mm ?
Also can sinks, etc be bonded to the nearest earth in a socket, or do they have to be run back to the dis board as well ?
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

My understanding is below, however I am happy to be corrected.
10mm2 earth cable connected within 600mm of incoming supply direct to distribution board.
If you have RCDs in the consumer unit there is no longer a requirement to earth bond sinks/rads etc.
Hope that helps

We had a new consumer unit fitted and had to have a new 10 mm earthing cable because of new regs .

10mm cpc to incoming services. If you run it into gas box there will usually be enough room to get an earth Clamp on the pipe
