Clunking Noise from Clutch / Gearbox

does anyone know what could cause the clunking ticking rattle noise you can hear in the video?

https://youtu.be/Dt_GpJwW9B0

I first thought it was the clutch so I've fully stripped it down, apart from slightly worn plates i can't see anything obvious that would cause it, and when i turn the input shaft to spin the gears i can't hear the noise. I'm at bit of a lose and don't really want to strip the engine down much further if it can be helped.

Maybe clutch release bearing if you very lightly put your foot on the clutch pedal does it go?

just listened back to the full video and its hard to tell if the noise goes or not.

However i have just ordered a couple of bearings for the clutch (Part No: 93310338S6 & 93310228S5)

I assume this is a new noise. Always find it hard to diagnose noises from videos but...

It sounds more like it's in the prop/diff/shafts. BEC? Double check the prop' adapter, the prop bolts (both ends and shaft bolts (if lobro's).
Do you get the noise in other gears? Does it go if you push the clutch in?

yes its a BEC and its a new noise. the video posted captures when it first started.

Definitely not the prop bolts, they've all been checked.

never went out of first as i got it recovered straight away. so not sure if its present when in a higher gear.

New Clutch parts should arrive next week so i'll put it all back together and see if the noise has gone. If not its going to have to be investigated further by someone with more knowledge then me

New friction plates, steels and bearings has somehow resolved the issue.

No obvious signs of what it could have been and the engine is now rattle free and the quietest it's been.

Completely baffled me but glad it's sorted ready for a PH run at the weekend.
