what are they called? movie tv player
Hi,
struggling to find what I need, not helped by not knowing what they'd be called
I have loads of DVD's, bluerays etc plus movies on my computer and hard drives. What I'm after is something that stores these on a hard
drive thing (with no computer) and just plays them from some sort of folder structure menu etc a bit like me recording programs onto the freeview
recorder. I tried using that plugged into my hard drive through the USB port but it doesn't work.
Any idea's?

I use a £30 android TV box and a £70 2TB external HD.
Works perfectly and keeps the kids quiet

I'll add, that if you're going to connect it to your network using wifi, you might want to invest in a pair of Powerline adaptors.
£20 and a rock steady connection with no drop outs.
