proof of ownership of parts/cars
I read somewhere that with the SVA test you have to prove that you own ( bought ) the parts you incorpeated in your car. Problem now is, that I have
an engine and gearbox (zetec and T9) without any reciepts what so ever. I can't prove that I didn't borrow them permanently.
Will this be a problem?
Might need to buy and scrap an escort and sierra again, but don't realy want to do so. I rather spend money on parts I will use instead buying
and selling scrap.
next thing on the to do list: get a new sva manual

It's only a problem if you want an age related plate. If you are OK with a "Q" plate then they couldn't care less where the
parts come from.

remember that a creative soul could easily make a receipt up for the 'company' that any part comes from, highly unlikely that they would
check. Likewise for reconditioning work!

thanks for the reply confirmed my thoughts. But wouldn't want to get a nasty surprise, going for a test abroad and then needing to get paperwork
made up. As do have a long drive of 6 hrs without trailer to Calais.

You aswell? Oh bugger!
Atleast Jaspers has just gone to the great big racetrack in the sky so there's less blue/silver competition for us!

That's for registration, not sva. They check the construction and operation at sva. I took an envelope full of receipts to register the car and
they never looked at them.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
