Anybody live in Hatfield, Herts?
…. in particular close to Aluminium Warehouse, Welham Green, Hatfield AL9 7HF? I am looking to buy an aluminium plate but since they do not open at
weekends, I am a bit stuck. So would need you to pick it up and then I pop round to collect.
What I am trying to do is make a base for a HiFi rack, the 'H' shaped base in photo below, and estimate a plate of 420 x 360 mm but what
thickness? I am guessing somewhere between 16 and 20 mm thick should be strong enough. Obviously open to other suggestions: granite? but not wood,
ideally to be locost but I won't be skimping on cost since the consequences of the stand tipping over will be much £££££ :O … and no, the base
cannot be purchased any more.
