I need to courier a bicycle from Brighton to Basingstoke
Morning all,
A good friend has helped my son get a very good deal buying a bicycle.
The bicycle is brand new direct from the manufacturer. It's packed in a cardboard box:
Box dimensions: 150cm x 20cm x 80cm
Box weight: 17kg
Box location: Brighton (business address)
I now need to get it couriered to my employers address in Basingstoke.
Usually my employer uses UPS courier services, but UPS have advised the box is too large for them this time.
Can any of you recommend a reliable courier I can use that won't cost me a fortune please?
Thanks,
Nick

I am off to waterlooville this sunday afternoon, so if you could arrange to meet in (say) Petersfield I would happily pick the bike up in Brighton and
meet you there?
Any help?

I might be able to help as I head down to Brighton every so often. How quickly do you need it moved?

Thanks for the offers guys - much appreciated!
A few of things against me here...
1. Bike in box is at a company address in Brighton and they're only open Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm.
2. Unfortunately epilepsy means no driving for me at the moment so I need it moved door to door. If I could drive I'd go and fetch it
myself.
3. It's ready now and I'm hoping to have in Basingstoke by Monday 13th Jan or Tuesday 14th Jan.

No and no, Trek and Aluminium, it's for my son, not for me.
Just looked at the Reilly https://www.reillycycleworks.com/ and shall look some more. I'm still
turning the pedals of my steel framed bikes at present, but a Ti bike is steadily pushing it's way up the list.

Bicycle safely received here at my work on Basingstoke
Paisley Freight courier worked really well with an excellent tracking service provided along the way.
Happy customer here and a happy son when the bike gets home with me tonight!
Thanks for the recommendation Loggyboy - much appreciated

Good to hear.
Ive used them for various oversized car parts and alloys quite a few times and always been good.

Got the bike home last night and the smile on my son's face was beyond happy
He had it unboxed and assembled pretty fast with some guidance on using the right tools and not over tightening the fasteners.
There were a couple of Torx head bolts, which stumped him, until I got the right tool out for him.
The only bummer was the rain hammering down, which put him off taking it out for a ride. Still he's lined up to get home from school today and
head straight out on it
