Body work CAD
Hello, I am doing playing around in CAD building a car.
I was hoping to get somewhat accurate body work for either a Haynes or caterham (std or SV). I've been looking online but the stuff I've
found seems to be inconsistent with other measurements I have.
If anyone has any resources that would be great.
Main items are the nose and scuttle.
Thanks.

I've been doing 2D CAD for years, but couldn't get into 3D. UNTIL I downloaded a trial of Rhino. It's easy, it's simple and
it's brilliant. Give it a try.

There were so many variations in design and size. Few people bothered to correctly model a nose cone or skuttle as it was far easier to just mold them
by hand out of blocks of foam when the times comes.
You see that most cad models only show the chassis and running gear as in reality that's all that actually matters.
However if your doing 3D models not for building then something like Blender is a good option, especially since it's free and Blend Swap have
a couple of lovely models of a Lotus 7's which you can download also for free. Just type Lotus 7 into the search bar.

As it happens I was just looking on GrabCad yesterday and there is a locost nosecone and a couple of locost chassis uploads, plus a McSorley7 +442E
Frame there.
