Superchargers

Thanks to lots of people upgrading their Mini Copper Ss, there are a ton of Eaton M45s on eBay for around a hundred squid.

Should be a good match to a 1800 zetec or similar running low boost. I am very tempted to try this at some point.

Cheers,

Ed

It's something I'm considering as an experiment for sometime in the future.

Can I be more vague than that?

How come the Minis needed an upgrade? It was a recall wasn't it... where owners could keep the old one? What was inherently wrong with the factory fit that they needed replacing?

Cheers,
James

James,

As part of the "works" package the supercharger was upgraded with a higher compression ratio item, BMW mini didn't need to keep the old ones so gave them back to the owners, hence the excess that are floating about at the mo.

Surely you want the higher compression ones to feel the real boost.
