Steering Column
Need a new steering column, as my collapsible section has, as I have just realised, collapsed.
Cheers

Are you sure? What sort is it? they can often look like they have collapsed but are actually supposed to be like that.

If it's an adjustable Sierra column, they do look as if they are collapsed!

Hmm... Thought I'd seen some that look a lot less collapsed than mine, maybe not. Looking at the pic in your archive Bob, it would seem its all
fine.
Oops! Thanks

The collapsible bit is where the triangular section goes into the round section.
You can move this in or out if you need to move the steering wheel closer or further away.

Both the "adjustable" and the "non-adjustable" have the sliding traingle section.
The "adjustable" column also looks like it has a black compressed bit at the top just before the stalks - but this is fine and how they
look.
The "non-adjustable" column has a longer black corrugated section at the top just before the stalks that is designed to
"squash" in a crash and doesn't look like it has already been squashed.
Hope that helps.
