News flash!
Prime Minister Chirac has officially raised the French terror alert from "Run" to "Hide". There are only two higher alert
levels in France, which are "Surrender" and "Collaborate". The rise was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed
France's white flag factory - effectively crippling their military.

That's a novel way of handing in your notice!!

Arc de Triomphe
Arc de Triomphe. Built by Napolean to celebrate French Military might. Used four times, twice by the Germans and twice by the Allies.

The equivalent of the VC in france is the 'medale de glorie' 1000 were minted, and only one was issued, to Edith Piaf, for chancion dans
le plighte de obscuritie
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

After reading this thread, I get a vague feeling that the commentators consider the French to have a big yellow streak? I wonder why

If I recall my history correctly there is a reason that the french don't like to fight.... they have after all been invaded 4 times in the last
100 years........there's a reason for that too!

Yeah, and what did the Romans ever do for us?. Apart from roads that is, and drainage, bathing and surgery.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

And not forgetting the Alfasud Sprint eh?
I've had two Alfas, once a week I'd leave them on the street and sweep the drive.
