Shortening handbrake cable

I can manage chopping it to the right length but how do I put another lug on the end once this is done?

I already have a new hand brake cable and just need to shorten it.

are you running disks or drums on the rear if disks see photo in my archive handbrake cable end.. you can get one from MK but most lads get them off there local AA man...they are part of an emergency cable kit the AA carry
