Cresida comments???

I'm in the planning stages of building my first Locost and need some advice regarding a possible donor vehicle. I have access to a single-owner, prestine 1983 Cresida equipped with a 2.8L six (5M-GE), 5-speed manual Xmission, and limited-slip diff. I have not been able to locate any physical dimensions for the 5M-GE, so I can make no comparison between it and the 4A-GE. If you could help point me in the right direction, I would be most appreciative.

40 views and no replies. What is this forum coming to?

The only advice I can offer is to get yourself armed with a tape measure, pen and note pad and physically measure the dimensions (height, length, width etc) of your toyota bits and then compare these to a 2 ltr pinto engine and box (known to be a tight fit)and a one of the ford axles commonly used.

At least this will give you some idea of the main differences.

Hope this helps.

Anyone got any other thoughts or Pinto dimensions to help yooper along?
