Hi
the only method iv'e come across to succesfully use the bike speedo in a car is to buy a yellowbox, which is a small electronic gizmo that sits between the speedo sender and clocks, you can tweak the yellowbox to achieve the correct reading on the speedo. my cars not on the road yet,so i cant comment how good they are, but loads of bec's use them.

These people are the makers/suppliers

Hope this helps

Mine has a Yellobox and it works fine, you need about 60% adjustment which initially seems out of range of the normal unit, but you switch it to mph/kph conversion first to reduce it by 1/1.6, then fine tune it from there.
