Pointless Threads

Please excuse me while I have a Victor Meldrew moment.
What is the point of threads such as the three word story or the this or that game??
I am peed off opening the mad house hoping to find an amusing post only to find that there is yet another inane addition to one of these threads.
Why are we clogging up a freindly informative forum with this sh*te

Mick

To be honest the Mad House was started because people asked for a seperate section to post random crap in. Now we have it people are moaning about the types of crap...

People still use the anything else section to post jokes etc in, when they should be in the Mad House section, which irritates me more than the odd really stupid thread in the Mad House section.

Its funny how something simple and harmless like the 3 word story or this or that can actually annoy someone, more than someone posting porn or something else offensive. At the end of the day the 3 word story had some funny replies, and so has this or that.

A community of people needs somewhere to share fun and have a laugh. If there is a thread with a new post in that you dont want to read...ignore it. I like the Mad House and Anything Else section, as I usually find something that makes me laugh several times a day.

David

I echo what flak says actually. It was created specifically for this reason, to post cr4p. As annoying as it is I don't even look at 3 word anymore. I don't beat myself up over it though, I just avoid it. The difference with the Mad House is that you open it at your own risk... no need for NWS or stuff as you should expect it to no be work safe. If it is in Anything Else then it should be work safe IMO. It's part of life to have a smile and a laugh (unless you're really are V.M.) it's part of the tapestry! As one of the most frequented sections I'd say you're in a minority of 2, have fun!

How about a 'Mad Mad House' forum for the really really stupid stuff. I know lets all stop laughing and smiling altogether !!!!!

Please can I have a "not interested in this topic, never have been, never will be" button that I can click so the chosen topic heading never even comes up in the forum listings?

For example, I'd like to set it so I don't have to look into the Mad House forum when it tells me there's a new story, only to find it's only that friggin' 3-word story again!
