just a quickie about donor

hi again, i have decided to get the parts from a breakers/scrap yard as it is impossible to find a healthy donor.
one thing i read in some of the breakers yard websites is that they wont sell active or passive security parts (such as airbags and belt tensioners, etc) but would that also mean i cant get a full brake system from a sierra? or the rear axle, etc? i have asked them for quotes on an engine and gearbox and the hubs, brakes, etc and they gave me 80 euros for both engine and gearbox which is quite impressive, but they didnt give me a price for the brake or hubs... anyone know if they can sell me those parts? i havent asked them just in case... can you buy these parts in breakers over there in the UK?

You can buy all the parts over here, I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem for you to get them from where you are though, so ask ! they can only say no can't they ???

yeah i know, but if i ask and they get the hint i'm making my own car from scratch...some have a policy of only selling for replacement parts etc.etc. so i'm just taking it gentle. dont wanna lose a potential parts supplier just in the middle of building!

would anyone know what a scrap yard is called in spanish?
thanks!
