Is anybody aware of an image reducing program that can be downloaded FOC. Failing that can somebody suggest a reasonable priced one to purchase.

Microsoft do a powertoy which is a freebie.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

5th up, on the right hand side, "image resizer"

Works very well, just highlight one or more pics, right click and you're away.

The page in this link says "PowerToys only work with U.S. English regional settings" - is that true, or is it OK with UK regional settings?

Certainly the image resizer, open command window here and webcam timershot work fine on UK regional settings. Those are the only ones I've had experiance with.

I think you'll find it is just M$ thinking they invented English so by US they also mean UK.

Photoshop is by far the best. You can buy just the disc (older versions) for very little money. Look on ebay or Computer shopper magazine. Also Paint shop pro is quite good and again can be picked up cheap. Infact i may have version 5 going cheap (if i can find it!!)

I bought Photoshop elements, £30.

It does everything that I can cope with,
