Andy,
Nice website, but a few queries/issues. I'd be happy for anyones comments.
1. Won't another club water down the quality of locostbuilders? (Esp in terms of tech help. A lot of queries and answers on the MK bit of
locostbuilders is useful to most peeps).
2. As a stuart taylor chassied locost owner, i could not join/come to any social events. Do you think the MK meetings are devisive, and again water
down the existing meetings?
3. If I was Chris W (I'm not) would i be happy hosting locostbuilders for nowt, when a club which charges a tenner automatically links back to LB for
its chat/forum stuff?
Hope i don't make too many enemies, but just a few thoughts. If it helps, i haven't bought any MK items, but i have seen PTM's nob at my first
Yorks meet (his build photo album).
All the best,
Mark

1, As far as i'm concerned MK's are as close to the Locost theory as you can get without making your own chassis and bodywork. MK started by
producing parts for locost builders (Martin correct me if i'm wrong) and i see us all as one big happy family which is why we will take anyone as a
mamber. Anyone can join the Caterham, Ferrari or any other club without having a car so it's the same with us.
2, You are more than welcome to any meet or social, infact it would be interesting to compare cars. As i said before, all are welcome and no i don't
think it 'waters down' any existing meetings. MK sold over 250 chassis last year so there will be plenty of people who would like direct contact
with other MK owners..... i hope!
3, I have spoken with Chris and he is happy with the arangement. It works both ways and in the end if it helps people then all the better.
At the end of the day we are all aiming for the same thing, to build a car to enjoy whether it's a Stuart Taylor, MK, locost or whatever. The MK
Owners Club are just one part of it. Locostbuilders.co.uk is superb and i thank ChrisW for doing such a superb job on it. I hope we can work together
for everyones benefit.
Cheers
