2 questions - wheel size and gear change mechanism

Are there any reasons not to go for 14" wheels? I'm struggling to find wheels that will get past the styling committee!

Which way does MNR's gearchange system shift or is it selectable in someway?

Go for it with the 14" wheels - they're almost the right size

See signature for details.....

Ideally I'd like 13's but RS 4 spokes have been so ruled out for being ugly.

I'm aiming for a set of Revolution RFXs as they're pretty light and as long as they're not 15's I'll be happy!

I had RFXs on the last car.

Keep an eye on ebay - occasional deals on new RFXs

gears shift any way you want them to, its cable driven so depending on how you route it you can go for back=up/forward=down or vice versa.
personally i prefer back/up method as it feels more natural when you consider the g-force of the car when either upshifting or downshifting.

plus, i always set up my sequential gear shifter like that in racing game simulations so im used to it

What's wrong with Revolution 4-spokes?
I thought RFXs were offset for fwd applications???

14" rims will clear sierra rear calipers where 13s often struggle. I am told that the choice of soft compound tyres is more limited for 14" rims. Toyo Proxes T1-R do come in 14" sizes though.

Nothing, I think they're fine.
Apparantly I don't have a clue when it comes to styling though as all 4 spokes look awful?!?!
