Bought a new EOBD Fault code Scanner
I just go a new EOBD fault code scanner via a US ebay shop. Cost less than 38 pounds including p&p and insurance Model is a U480 -- ace item,
the seller also has cheaper and more upmarket units.
A lot handier to use than my PC-OBD interface. It will even read the vehicles VIN number from the ECU
Works on just about any recent vehicle.
seller is http://stores.ebay.co.uk/alpha-bid

Interesting. I had to use a paperclip to get the codes out of my Toyota.
The paperclip came with no digital display, cabling or book of codes.
Did the stationers rip me off?
Seriously, that looks like a groooooooovy peice of kit.
Cheers,
Neil

Paper clips are OBD1 standard (but must be a dealler supplied OEM clip) -- OBD2/EOBD scanners are the price of progress. Just wait for OBD 3 ---

I eat a lot of vegetables and pulses. My car's always emmitting horrible gases.
Come to think of it, so does my house.
I'm doomed!
Seriously though, I posted in a thread moons ago about a guy I know from Dera/Qinetic who was working on these 'black box' systems for the
eyes in the sky.
He told me that mandatory introduction and fitment was to begin in 2010.
