Beginners Sketchup questions!
All help much appreciated!!
Some simple things are elluding me-
1. how do i dimension a rectangle? i can obvioulsy use the move tool to stretch it to size. isnt there anywhere i can input (type) the lengths as a
number?
2. Isnt there an equivalent to the Trim tool in autocad? everytime i try to trim a line, then it deletes thw whole line..
thanks!!

1.
If you look down the bottom right-hand corner there is a little box with the current dimensions of the shape your're drawing. If you enter the
dimensions you want on your number-pad it will change to them!
2.
Not quite sure as I don't use AutoCad, but you can use the Section Pane tool and 'make a group from slice' then explode it.
Have fun
Pete

To dimension a rectangle in autocad
1- click and drag the rectangle out
2- before finshing the rectangle with a second click type "@100,200"
100 being the dimension in X and 200 being the Y
Hope it helps
