Task manager help please

Hiya all.

Don't know what's happened but all of a sudden nothing happens when I press Ctrl+alt+del.

Can anyone tell me why this has happened or failing that how else I can get to task manager?

I've used the windows search to look for task manager but to no avail. Oh I'm using windows XP pro with service pack 2 (and all the latest upgrades).

Who the f**K tightened this up!

Don't know why it's gone but you can find it by right-clicking on the taskbar and you'll find it there.

There is an official way to disable/enable it using a registery tweak --- but I can't see how it can happen by accident --- this makes me suspect virus or other malware

istr MS Tweek Ui power toy will let you turn it on or off but I am not 100% sure.

CTRL SHIFT ESC will also bring it up.

I'd be very suspicious though and run all of the checkers below.

It may be disabled in the registry:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\DisableTaskMgr

Or it could be as a group policy
Start/run gpedit.msc, its in there somewhere

But also please have a full scan.
